I loved how the Hillside Hideaway was virtually grayscale, even in real life, except for the splotches of red on the front doors. I knew it needed to be an HDR shot, but didn't have time to set up the tripod for it. I'm pleased with the way it turned out. I did have time to do it properly on Little Red Wagon.

These two shots were pretty straightforward right out of the camera. No trickery. They were combined using a Color Dodge blending mode, and then I masked out the key emblem to allow it to show through a bit more.

I owe the idea for this shot to Kris. I was already taking portrait shots of Thane and it just happened to work out that way. I didn't do any editing to these photos with the exception of cropping on one to make it better match the positioning of the other.

These shots were pretty straightforward. I used shutter priority mode to capture both of these images. I wanted everything sharp except the Merry-Go-Round rider in The Risk Wisp, so I used a slow shutter speed and a tripod. The most difficult part about the Now, Scarf! shot was getting the wind to cooperate. Both photos got a bit of cropping and color correction.

I'm really loving portraiture. Able Bodied only needed some color correction. Redbox needed a bit more work. The background was an atrocious yellow color that didn't work well with anything else, so that had to go. I really liked the red. Oakley has a lot of natural beauty, so I did everything I could to accentuate that with my facial editing.

This shoot was a blast up in the Virginia City and Nevada City ghost towns in Montana. Most of these shots had some minor color correction and skin/other portrait enhancements. While I took several shots with fill flashes and other artificial lighting, all of these are naturally lit. They just happened to be my favorites. Regarding The Cookie Compromise, I happened to be focused on him right as his mother promised him cookies in exchange for his continued cooperation on the shoot. It was a perfect candid moment.
