These photos were taken on an evening in Rigby, ID when there was a very subtle sunset at play. The downtown street shot required some color pushing to get an appealing exposure. The rock texture I allowed to blend only on the buildings and sidewalk. It really distracted from the sky. Again, on the chapel, there was a bit of color and exposure enhancement needed to make it appealing. I also masked out a portion of the dark text bar to allow the steeple to pop out over the top, removed some dirty lens spots and shortened the flagpole.

I took these photos back in high school for the teen section of the Ogden newspaper, The Standard Examiner. They were a photo illustration for a story debating who makes the best donuts. Instead of setting up a bunch of studio lights, I just set the backdrop up outside under an awning to control the direction of the natural light. The clipping went fine. I still struggle clipping hair. Usually I clip it out and then go back in with a stylus and brush in a few stray hairs to try to remove the "helmet hair" look, which is what I did here. I think I could have done a bit better though . . .

All of these photos have come from a variety of places and represent some of my fondest memories. Most were spontaneous captures with good conditions and a camera on hand. The following photos were edited with only minor color and levels enhancements: The Brugge Photo, Dutch Dunes, Senior Self Portrait, Oostende Strand, Sunrise Squirrel and Bruggse Windmollen. The rest are unedited, fully natural.
